Kozinec is a perennial plant of the legume family, which is overwintering due to the supplies it stores in its roots. It is the root used in TČM. Its main ingredients are triterpenoid saponins, astragalosides, isoastragaloses and proteoglycans (astragalan, astraglucan, etc.). Because information on its effects could be interpreted as a " health claim " under Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council, please inform others about the disease.
In addition to using it in TČM, kozinec can be used as a non-traditional vegetable. In the meals inspired by the TČM Recipe, the sliced root of the goat has its unobtrusive flavor a bit resembling alfalfa sprouts. Kozinec also contains a small amount of non-caloric sweetener, starch and other nutrients. Because the sliced root of the goat looks like licorice, but its sweet taste is not so far-fetched.
