Stevia rebaudiana is a plant whose leaves are used as a natural non-calorie sweetener. It contains glycoside stevioside and, despite the doubts, it is completely harmless according to current scientific information. According to some research, Stevie has other features that can not be reported here because it could be interpreted as a "health claim" under Regulation 1924/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
The sheet of stevia is added to the teas and foods we want to add. The dose needed varies according to the degree of sweetening we want to achieve. Typically, about 1 gram (5-10 petals) can be used per 200ml of water.
